New Web Request System

Many of you have probably used our ancient web request system. While the system served us well, it was never really meant to manage bigger projects. The web team and marketing are ever on a quest to get better, smarter and more efficient. We think our new web request system, called Redmine (what is Redmine?), is a giant step in that direction.

Keep an eye out for a training class on using this new system in the next few weeks. It's quite easy to learn and intuitive, but (as with most things new) there is a different process involved. A couple notables:

  • You will be able to login using your Bastyr credentials
  • You can set up to be notified anytime something happens with your project/issue. (With the old system, you just had to wait till we were done)
  • You can see where your task is in the queue
  • You can track how far along we are on each project (45%, etc)
  • You do all your project interaction within Redmine, rather than having to keep track of it in email.
Stay tuned for more information on trainings.
