Bastyr in the Media, November 2, 2012

It's been a few weeks since we last updated you on our media hits, and we've amassed quite an extensive list in that time. Check out who has covered us, and what news and knowledge we've been spreading in newspapers, online and over the airwaves in recent weeks!

Dr. Jamie Corroon was on Q13 Fox News This Morning to talk about how better sleep can mean better energy. As usual, he was a rock star, and smoothly promoted Dr. Brammer's free Living Naturally talk on the same subject Nov. 8. Way to go, Dr. Corroon!

Speaking of our free Living Naturally talks at BCNH, the Fremocentrist blog in Fremont did a nice piece with Cynthia Lair and her recent talk about healthy substitutes to white sugar. Nice job, Cynthia!

The Bothell Reporter showed us some love with coverage about both our annual Haunted Trails event, as well as the great research being done by the Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center (BIORC). The latter article also stressed the need for participants in a couple of BIORC cancer trials.

Bastyr alum Maggie Ney, ND ('06), was featured on the nationally syndicated TV show, "The Doctors." This particular segment was all about cleansing and detox diets. Awesome exposure, Dr. Ney!

Bastyr dietitian Mary Purdy, MS, RD, also had her 15 minutes of fame, appearing in a KOMO News Radio piece that focused on the organic vs. non-organic food debate. Well done, Mary!

Finally, Energy Times had a piece about the legacy of Dr. John Bastyr, and called him a "visionary." As we close out the yearlong celebration of what would have been Dr. bastyr's 100th birthday, we couldn't agree more!
