Next week, we invite you to participate in the John Bastyr Helping Hands Food Drive! To honor Dr. Bastyr's tremendous legacy of caring, we will be collecting food and personal care items for the Kirkland Hopelink End Summer Hunger campaign.
Look for the orange and white collection bins July 16-20 on campus and at the clinic (or make a monetary donation to Hopelink).
Summer is the time when food bank shelves are the least stocked, but the need among families with school-aged children is highest. Please be generous and consider contributing healthy, organic, vegetarian or gluten-free pantry staples along with fresh or nonperishable produce. (Personal care items such as diapers, baby wipes, formula, toilet paper, toothbrushes, etc. are also needed).
So when you're picking up groceries this weekend, please remember to throw a few more items into your cart to help out a fellow neighbor. Surely Dr. Bastyr would have done the same.
