Congrats to Jane Guiltinan, ND, for being appointed to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine's advisory council. Dr. Guiltinan, Bastyr's dean of the School of Naturopathic Medicine, is the only ND currently serving on the council. It's official! Our California campus in San Diego recently received accreditation, meaning that we are now the first and only accredited naturopathic medicine university in the golden state. The Bothell/Kenmore Reporter had a writeup about the exciting news.

Finally, it almost sounds too good to be true: a scientific research study that will pay people to sit in a sauna? But that study is real, and is happening right here on-campus. Dr. Jason Allen is heading the sauna/detox study, and he was recently interviewed by KIRO 93.7 FM radio about it. Saunascape.com also picked up on the interesting story.
