On Tuesday, June 28, four lucky Kenmore community members redeemed their prize from a recent Kenmore Elementary fundraiser: A Sustainable Day at Bastyr. Their hands-on, guided tour included visits in the medicinal herb garden, botanical medicine lab and whole-food nutrition kitchen. The group learned how to pick herbs, make their own salad vinaigrette and prepare massaged kale salad rolls. The tour concluded with a tasty lunch, parting gifts and satisfied guests.
