His photo shoot and accompanying article about the dining commons will be featured in the October/November issue of Edible Seattle. - Michelle Babb, a faculty practitioner at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, shared her expertise with food allergies and sensitivities in the July/August edition of The Environmental Magazine for the article "Kicking the Gluten Habit."
- If you missed Tamara Cullen, ND, discussing the clinic's $20 Well-Child Visits on KOMO/TV Thursday, July 28, we've just posted it on the Bastyr University YouTube channel, and you can check it out below. Remember that Bastyr is featured the last Thursday of every month on KOMO/4 cable channel 114 (or online).
- Dr. Cullen also explained why well-child visits are so important in The Fremocentrist blog post "Bastyr Offers Up Well-Child Visits To Keep Children Well." The Fremont-area blog gave our promotion a double-dose of exposure by earlier posting "Well-Child Visit Special On at Bastyr."
- Earlier this summer, Cynthia Lair, BA, CHN, director of the University's culinary arts program, explained to readers of Everett's The Herald how to "Make your summer dishes sing with these 3 fresh herbs."
- The article "Strawberries: The New 'Apple a Day'?" on the QualityHealth website quoted Bastyr faculty member Ryan Bradley, ND, MPH.
- Jamey Wallace, clinic medical director for Bastyr Center, was quoted in the WebMD article "Colon Cleansing May Be Risky, Study Finds."
- That article also was picked up by WKOW-ABC in Madison, Wis.
- The Buffalo News in Buffalo, N.Y., picked up the U.S. News and World Report article "Colleges That Offer Courses, Choices for Vegetarians," listed in our first Bastyr in the News roundup.
- Jennifer Adler, MS, CN, adjunct faculty in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Science, got more coverage for her love of seaweed in the Seattle Weekly column "Local Nutritionist Wants More People to Eat Seaweed," which also showed up on Epicurious.com.
