Bastyr's supporters and friends attended the annual Donor Recognition Reception on June 21, 2011. The appropriately themed reception "It Takes a Village" provided an opportunity to recognize the generosity and volunteerism of these supporters. The special feature of this year's reception was a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the naming of "CollinsWoerman Hall" in the Student Village, named for the architectural firm that designed the new student residences and that also made a major gift.
In all, the University's supporters and friends donated $760,000 during the 2010-2011 academic year, with $175,000 specifically for scholarships. This past year also was a banner year for employee participation, so thanks to all of you for your contributions! Every gift makes a difference — whether for scholarships, research or to sponsor a special event.
