Bastyr in the Media - August 10, 2012

It's been a while since we last posted a media update, so here is a plethora of recent placements for Bastyr University in print, broadcast and online:

The Chicago Tribune had an article about ways women over the age of 40 can increase their libidos naturally, featuring Bastyr University alumna Laurie Steelsmith, ND. Nice job, Dr. Steelsmith.

Dr. Cynthia Wenner was interviewed for a piece about the effects of turkey tail mushrooms on cancer. The website was called, appropriately enough, Medicinalmushroominfo.com. Well done, Dr. Wenner!

The Bothell Reporter covered a number of Bastyr-related stories in the past few weeks, including: Dr. Tabatha Parker being named a core faculty member of Bastyr University California; the Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center recruiting patients for a colon cancer research study; and our innovative APPLE Core program, taking place Saturday August 11, 2012. Thanks for all the love, Bothell Reporter!

Finally, Dr. Sabine Thomas made an appearance on Q13 Fox News' 5 p.m. newscast recently, to discuss natural alternatives to taking pills to help you get to sleep. (More information on a separate blog post.) You are a rock star, Dr. Thomas!

All in all, a strong set of media placements that will go a long way in helping raise the visibility of our community.
