Celebrate Summer with Kenmore Community

As employees of Bastyr University, we are not only part of the Bastyr community, but we also are part of the Kenmore community. What better way to celebrate that connection this summer than through the myriad city of Kenmore events that the University co-sponsors?

Kick off the unofficial start of the Pacific Northwest summer July Fourth with the fireworks spectacular over Kenmore's Log Boom Park, 6100 N.E. 175th St. Check out our event listing for more information, including where to park.

Bastyr is also co-sponsoring the 10th annual Kenmore Summer Concert Series at neighboring St. Edward State Park.

Weekly Thursday performances include:

July 12 — Sonny Lim and Hawane Rios, performing Hawaiian music and hula
July 19 — The Brothers Comatose, a lively string band
July 26 — The Sweetback Sisters, performing honky tonk
August 2 — Joy Kills Sorrow, singing modern acoustic Americana
August 9 — The Moondoggies, performing rockin' folk-rock
August 16 — The Arzelia Jones Experience featuring Soul Provider, sensational soul funk revue
